A keyword search for “Gautam Adani,” “financial project” on Google did not yield any credible reports/ releases by the Adani group on any such announcement by the industrialist.
We then conducted a reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip which led us to a YouTube post by the official channel of Adani Group, dated January 31, 2023, stating, “Gautam Adani’s speech at the Handover Ceremony at the Port of Haifa, Israel, in the presence of Hon`ble Prime Minister of Israel, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu…”
It featured Adani in the same attire as in the viral video, standing in front of a banner identical to that of the viral video. We scanned through his entire speech, but did not find him mentioning any such financial opportunity.
On carefully analysing the viral clip, we noticed that his lower jaw region appeared to have been smudged/blurred, and his face seemed to quiver/shiver in multiple frames, indicating AI manipulation.
We then checked a section of the viral on AI detection website Hive Moderation which concluded an overall 99.7% likelihood of the media containing AI generated or deepfake content.
Newschecker also ran several segments of the audio heard in the alleged footage of Adani on Hiya Deepfake Voice Detector which found them to be “likely deepfake.” Similarly, another AI detection platform Resemble.ai termed the voice in the viral clip as “fake.”
We then inspected the link “https://baldysyhv.live/” mentioned in the Facebook post, however, the site was not reachable.
Newschecker has previously debunked multiple such deepfake videos of industrialists, including Narayana Murthy, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, that falsely show them promoting dubious investment platforms/trading apps.

Hence, we find that the viral video claiming to show Gautam Adani endorsing a financial project is actually manipulated using AI.
