Viral image claiming to show a gigantic statue of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav being built in Lucknow.

Newschecker noticed that the purported photograph seemed to be overly glossy, indicating that it may be AI-generated. Moreover, we did not come across any credible news reports about such a statue being constructed, raising our doubts.
We ran the image past Hive Moderation, an AI-content detection tool, which found it 97.1% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content. Similarly, the Isgen.AI tool found the image to be 100% likely AI-generated. The Fake Image Detector tool, too, said the image was computer-generated or modified.
