AI/Deepfake
Video showing a massive tree felling drive in the Kancha Gachibowli forest, adjoining the University of Hyderabad, with wild animals running away from bulldozers and police trying to stop protesters.
The archived version of the post can be seen here.
Newschecker noticed the overly glossy texture, the unnatural and dramatic movements of the animals and protesters in the video, all signs pointing towards AI-generated media.
We then ran the video past Hive Moderation, an AI-content detection tool, which found it 99.9% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.
We then ran screengrabs past another detector, WasitAI, which, too, found that the images, or significant parts of it, were created by AI.
