The archived version of the post can be seen here, which has clocked 6.5 million views so far.
Newschecker noticed certain discrepancies in the 10-second video, usually associated with AI-generated imagery, such as the blurry nature, unnatural movements of the gorilla and the woman while at one moment the woman’s fingers seem to merge into the gorilla’s arms.
We ran a reverse image search of the keyframes, which led us to a clearer version of the video uploaded on Youtube on June 29, 2025 by @AI-Videos-Arg. “Sound or visuals were significantly edited or digitally generated,” read a description of the video. “Videos generated with AI tools,” read the description of the channel, which has several such videos.
We ran the video past Hive Moderation, an AI-content detection tool, which stated that it is “99.9% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.”
