A reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to a Facebook post by Bangladesh-based news outlet Jago News 24, dated July 1, 2025. Carrying the same video, it reported on a clash between two BNP factions in Bangladesh’s Kishoreganj.
Another report by Dhaka Mail, published on July 1, 2025, featured a screengrab from the viral footage, and detailed about a violent clash that broke out between two factions of the BNP in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj due to a “long standing family and political dispute between Union BNP President Kamal Pasha and Kishoreganj District Volunteer Party Joint Convener Farhad Ahmed.”
At least 40 people from both sides were injured in the clashes, which also resulted in vandalism, looting and arson, reported Daily Janakantha, adding that a police team led by Ashtagram OC Ruhul Amin went to the spot and brought the clashes under control.
