Visuals from Israel show Mossad HQ on fire following a recent Iranian attack.
The video shows a recent incident of fire at a parking lot in China, unrelated to the Israel-Iran conflict.
A video, showing a building complex engulfed in fire with thick black smoke bellowing into the sky as onlookers watch, has gone viral on social media platforms. Multiple users who shared the video linked it to the current military escalations in the Middle East, and claimed that it showed the aftermath of an Iranian attack on the Mossad headquarters in Israel.
The 16-second-long-footage is being widely circulated across online platforms to allegedly show the Mossad HQ on fire after the Iranian attack.

The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps claimed to have carried out a successful attack on the headquarters of Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, in Tel Aviv, adding that it was on fire. Israel meanwhile has reportedly downplayed the strikes by highlighting damage to a nearby bus parking lot.
We looked up the keyframes of the viral clip on Google Lens which led us to an X post by @HITNEWSWORLD, dated June 11, 2025. Carrying the same clip, it stated, “Massive fire in Chongqing, China, caused by an exploding electric scooter battery. Flames spread quickly to nearby bikes in the parking area.”
Notably, the post predates the current Israel-Iran conflict that began on June 13, 2025.
Taking a clue, we looked up keywords “Chongqing,” “China,” “parking facility” and “fire” on Google which led us to a Facebook post by Reuters, dated June 12, 2025. It featured footage similar to the viral clip, and stated, “A large fire broke out and thick black smoke billowed from a motorcycle parking facility in China’s Chongqing.”
On comparing the keyframes of the viral clip with visuals featured in the Facebook post by Reuters, we could conclude that they both showed the same incident.

A report by Shanghai Eye, dated June 12, 2025, also featured similar visuals to show a “large fire at a motorcycle parking lot in China’s Chongqing.”
“The fire was first reported by the public at 1:12pm local time and extinguished by rescue units 21 minutes later. Local fire services say no casualties were reported with the cause of the fire under investigation,” stated CGTN Europe.

Hence, we find that a video showing a blaze at a parking facility in China’s Chongqing has been falsely shared to claim that the Mossad HQ was on fire after a recent attack by the Iranian forces.
