Fact
A Google Lens search on the keyframes of the viral clip led us to a Facebook post by ‘Indian Army group’, dated May 14, 2021. It featured the same video which has gone viral on social media platforms following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025.

The video was also featured in a Facebook post by @jaijawanjaihind, dated May 1, 2020. “And the retaliation continue . . .,” the caption of the post stated. We found another Facebook post by @GarudPeGarv, a fan page of the IAS Guard of the Indian Air Force, dated April 15, 2020, also carrying the viral clip. This confirms that the viral clip dates back to at least April 2020, and does not show any recent retaliatory action by the Indian army against Pakistan’s ceasefire violation.

During further research, we found a few reports like this and this stating that Pakistan did indeed violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control in the Tattapani area of Poonch. However, the findings confirm that the viral clip is old and does not show any recent activity by the Indian Army.
We were not independently able to ascertain the exact location where the video was taken.
