Video claiming to show Pakistan Army chief General Syed Asim Munir at the front lines, amid reports that he has fled the country owing to the rising India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The archived version of the post can be seen here, which has clocked 204.7K views so far.
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes of the 58-second viral video, which led us to this video uploaded on X on December 3, 2022 by journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, where one can see several excerpts from Kaul’s 01:40-minute video have been rearranged and edited to make the viral video.
The segments from the December 3, 2022 video, used in the viral clip were identified as footage corresponding to timestamps 00:00-00:02, 00:16-00:19, 00:22-00:44, 00:55-01:05; and 01:23-01:40.

A similar post from the X account of the Intelligence Directorate of Pakistan Strategic Defence Force on December 3, 2022, further confirms that the viral video is edited from old footage that shows Munir visiting frontline troops in the Rakhchikri Sector of Line of Control (LOC).
