Pakistani Actress Wrongly Identified As Wife Of PAF Officer Killed In Operation Sindoor

A photo circulating online claims to show the wife of Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf, a Pakistan Air Force officer killed in the May 2025 Operation Sindoor, alleging she was arrested for an affair with an Indian diplomat named “Sunam Singh,” who was purportedly deported from Pakistan.

Woman behind viral photo

A reverse image search of the viral photo led to a City 42 report (May 27, 2025), which clearly identifies the woman as Pakistani actress Neelam Muneer.

Her marriage details

A January 14, 2025 report by ARY News confirms that Neelam Muneer married Muhammad Rashid, a businessman based in Dubai since 2006. Rashid runs a travel and tourism business and owns several cafés and restaurants. The report also mentioned earlier rumors of Rashid’s work with the Dubai Police CID, but clarified his business background.

Wedding Photos Shared by actress

Neelam Muneer herself shared photographs from her wedding festivities in January 2025 on her official Instagram account, further confirming her identity and marriage.

No Evidence of viral claim

Searches revealed no credible news of Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf’s wife being arrested for an affair with  any Indian diplomat named “Sunam Singh.” Also, we did not find any information or press releases about an Indian diplomat named Suman Singh, posted in Pakistan.
