The video has gone viral following the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12 that killed all the passengers and crew aboard, except Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national of Indian origin who was seated in 11A.
A keyword search for “passengers,” “fight” and “11A” on Google did not yield any credible reports on the alleged incident.
We then conducted a reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip which led us to an Instagram post by Fly-high Institute (@flyhighinstitutenagpur), dated June 16, 2025.
Carrying the viral clip, it stated, “A magician on a flight decides to showcase his skills by conjuring a pigeon mid-air…a lady seated nearby becomes irritated by the sudden appearance of the bird. She confronts the magician, leading to a heated exchange between the two… The crew’s timely intervention helps to diffuse the tension, and the flight returns to a peaceful atmosphere.”
We also found the Part 1 & 2 of the viral clip uploaded on their Instagram page on June 13 and June 15 respectively. It clearly depicts that the purported brawl broke out over the “magician’s trick,” as mentioned in the post.
Further, we noticed that user @rutu_ramteke_18 was also tagged in the videos posted by the institute. We looked up the profile on Instagram, and found that it belongs to a Nagpur-based content creator, Rutu Ramteke.
The institute’s profile featured multiple such videos showing the cabin crew tackling unruly passengers.
Newschecker then contacted the Fly High Institute, which clarified that the videos were created to train their students in handling such situations on flight, thereby confirming that the footage does not depict an actual incident.

Hence, we find that the viral posts claiming to show passengers fighting over seat 11A aboard an aircraft are false.
