Several social media users are sharing a 01:02-minute video, which purportedly shows the daily workplace routine of an employee at Microsoft, insinuating that the clip is from one of the US offices of the software giant.
“Microsoft laid off 16,000 employees this year while applying for thousands of H1B visas to replace American workers with cheap foreign labour, which is why all the employees seen in the viral video are Indian,” users claimed.
The archived version of the post can be seen here, which has clocked 693.6K views so far. The posts went viral close on the heels of US president Donald Trump criticising American technology companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple for hiring workers from India and not prioritising Americans.

Newschecker ran a reverse image search of the keyframes, which led us to an Instagram post by a 24-year-old software engineer and digital creator, Mansi Singhal, on February 8, 2025, featuring the same video.
In her post, Singhal clearly states that the video was from the Hyderabad campus of Microsoft, which houses the Microsoft India Development Center.
She also uploaded the video on her Youtube page on May 20, 2025. A Tiktok post, sharing the same video and dated February 15, 2025, stated that it was from Hyderabad.
