Bihar Polls 2025: Pappu Yadav Seen Singing Ram Bhajans After Meeting PM? No, Viral Video Is Old

On September 15, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new airport in Purnea, Bihar. During the event, he was seen sharing a light moment on stage with the Congress-leaning Independent MP from Purnea, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav.

Shortly after, social media users began circulating a video of Pappu Yadav in saffron attire, singing bhajans in praise of Lord Ram during a procession with a claim that it was filmed after his meeting with the Prime Minister, implying a shift in his stance.

Newschecker, however, found the video to be old.

• No credible reports confirm that Pappu Yadav held any such procession after meeting PM Modi.

• A reverse image search traced the viral clip to a YouTube video by Bharat TV 24, dated April 8, 2025, showing Yadav in a Ram Navami procession.

• A longer version of the same clip was uploaded on Yadav’s official Facebook page on April 7, 2025, featuring a banner reading “Navami Shobha Yatra.”

• Yadav also posted photos from the event, writing about his participation in the Ram Navami celebrations across Purnea.
  
  “Today, with deep reverence and devotion, we joined the Shobha Yatra held on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. At several locations, including Durga Sthan Madhubani, Madhubani Bazaar, Municipal Corporation Chowk, R.N. Shah Chowk, Bhatta Bazaar, and Rajni Chowk,  we came together with people to chant praises of Lord Shri Ram,” he said in the post. 

• He even spoke to the media during the procession, further confirming the context.

The viral video of Pappu Yadav singing Ram bhajans is from the April 2025 Ram Navami Shobha Yatra in Purnea, not after his September 2025 meeting with PM Modi.
